Are All 3 Speed Crank Arms the Same?

On mid 1968-70 B body applications (2983033/2983116) the correct crank arm will have Part Number 2822273.
On 70-71 E Body applications the part number for the correct crank arm will have Part Number 2822289.
71 E body applications have part number 3431518.
After 6/1/72 crank arm part number will be 3431635.
While there are a multitude of other crank arms and their applications, I listed the most common ones above. Using the wrong crank arm for the wrong application CAN result in the transmmission linkage binding and damaging the wiper motor. Remember: IF the wiper motor binds, turn the key to the OFF position. Turning the switch off does not cut power to the wiper motor. As long as the key is in Accessory or ON position, the motor is being powered even though it is not functioning.
